Because the physical world isn't going anywhere, neither is designing for print, and that's a good thing. Physical spaces provide the opportunity to create experiences and influence how the smallest of communications are interacted with, even a door hanger. This deliverable was made to be placed on a customer's door in the event of a missed delivery. Door hangers aren't the most exciting design venture in the world, but all types of communication are important and deserve a fair amount of attention. Knowing when to stop spending time a project is equally as important though.
As I made this I thought, "wouldn't it be great if every store had their own image to be included? So that the customer knew which store to call." This is a very first thought solution that I am glad to have kept to myself at the time. Aside from all the work it would take to gather images from the hundreds of MattressFirm stores, going down this path overlooks one very important piece of information, the knowledge of the consumer. The buyer already knows which store to call because they made a purchase and setup a delivery date, even if they missed it. At that point I realized "K.I.S.S. was the best rule to follow and finished my tasks.
